As I'm washing Allyssa's soccer shoes in the sink downstairs... this creature jumped out on my arm.... OMG where in the world did that thing come from???? Yeah outta her shoe....I KNOW...but... HOW????
After this picture, since the froggie was sooo cooperative, I didn't harm it, I just scooped it up and freed it outside :)

Allyssa played her first soccer game EVER, Tues. evening... and what FUN!!!!
It had rained all day long so it was a muddy mess..but it didn't rain during the game...so that was good atleast.
Allyssa played very well and had a lot of fun... only one wipe out for Allyssa, and that was enough...she was covered in mud :)
Ally is # 4 to help you pick her out in the photos...
We are looking forward to her next game... Thurs. evening!!!

Meet Indi and Bugsy...the Hamsters

 

 

 

 

Emily and Jacob got hamsters over the weekend while we were gone..so Mon. after school Ally had to stop by their house and see them!!! They are sooo tiny!
They call Indi Indiana Jones when it's being bad!!! Now Ally wants a Hamster too... real BAD!!

Fun Back in Illinois!!

 

 

 

Allyssa,Bob and Carter enjoyed Sat. afternoon shooting bb guns and bows.... Allyssa really liked the Pink one that Grandma bought for the Grandaughters!!!

 

Allyssa drove Grandpa around and around and around, and finally got to go down the hard road even!!! And how sweet when Allyssa told Grandpa that she's pretty lucky to have a Grandpa like Him!!!
We really enjoyed our weekend w/ Mom and Dad... too short but was nice spending time w/ them. Sat. was spent outside mostly w/ the bb guns and bows, Allyssa went down to play w/ Hannah and Arlie in the afternoon, and We were able to attend Rodney's Bow shoot on Sunday afternoon after church.
We left w/ plans for Gma and Gpa to come our way in a couple of weeks for Grandparent's day at school!!!

Stay Princess!!!

 

Allyssa took quite a bit of time getting Princess settled in her play wheelbarrow only for Princess to jump out as soon as Ally started to push it :) But it was fun while it lasted!!!

LOCKS OF LOVE

Allyssa is sooo excited to finally have donated her hair to locks of love... she has waited a LONG time to be able to do this.
I told her after Tabitha's wedding she could... so as soon as we were leaving the church from Taba's wedding, Allyssa says "OK let's go get my haircut!!!"
Well... not that soon after the wedding, but as soon as we got back to P. Bluff I made the appt. and got it done.
Allyssa loves it!!! I like her long hair, but... if she's happy...We're All happy!!!
Getting it cut has helped her be able to wash her own hair and there's been NO TEARS brushing out her hair since it's been cut!!!

Inside of our Home

Well we are slowly getting somewhat settled in... just remember as you view the pics there's stuff laying around everywhere waiting to be hung up someplace...sometime!!!
I will start from the beginning... August 7-9th my brother Rodney and his family came to Poplar Bluff on their way back from a Branson vacation...we had alot of fun hanging out, visiting, eating out, going to Bluff Falls and swimming at the Hotel, Sleepovers, cooking out... just lots and lots of fun... Sooo much fun that I didn't take pictures cause I was too busy enjoying I guess :(
Anyway, Allyssa rode back to Illinois w/ them and stayed w/ Grandpa and Grandma fm Sunday until Wednesday. Bob and I were in Poplar Bluff until Tues. evening and then we went to Ramsey to pack up... the movers were there Wed. the 12th and Thurs. the 13th. Allyssa, Mom, and I came back to P. Bluff on Thurs. morning, showed Mom the house, and got a few things ready for them to bring our stuff. That evening we went to Allyssa's open house at Oak Grove School.. How great that Grandma has been able to attend the last 2 yrs... !!!
Bob joined us late Thurs. evening, and Friday we worked on cleaning out some of the apartment. My dad got here late Friday evening...and Sat. morning the movers brought our stuff and we started unpacking!!! My parents stayed the weekend w/ us and were such a help w/ everything... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
Then Monday School STARTED!!!!! and we've been schooling it and unpacking ever since!!!
We love our neighborhood... Kids EVERYWHERE!! A funny story about our next door neighbors... We've been looking at this house since last June when Ally and I came down here.. but we had to sell our house first... this house has stayed on the market that whole entire time, well... the day that our house sold, I called on this house and an offer had just been made but the lady didn't accept it, so we got it, shortly after we signed contract the people that had made the offer called the lady and said they would give her what she wanted... too late we had already signed!!! CLOSE CALL!! Well, they are now our next door neighbors... the house next to ours was for sale also, sooo they bought it! They moved in the same time we moved in.. that's Emily who is 7 and she has a brother Jacob 6. The parent's Jeff is a dr. and Donna a speech pathologist.. Very nice people, and thankful they aren't upset at us for beating them to this house!!! :)
Allyssa is now riding her bike like crazy, which she couldn't do before, and getting lots of use of her trampoline and barbie jeep!! Always outside, and has hardly played any DS since we've been here, which used to be all she ever did!! Lots and Lots of fun right in the backyard!!! Sooo that's been good for her and for me too... I am used to her being my little shadow always on my heels.. and now I'm like "hey don't you want to hang out w/ mom for a little bit???" but i have to admit it's nice to get a break too!!!
All in all I know we are going to love it here... if only I could get my family to move here too!!!!
I have to Thank all of you who have kept us in your prayers over the past few years, it's been greatly appreciated and is what's gotten us through. God sure has had his Hand in this, still not sure the reason, but am Confident this is ALL His Plan, so I won't question the why's... Thanks again, and it's wonderful to finally be settling in!!!! GOD BLESS!!

Tabitha and Aaron's Wedding

August 22nd was Tabitha's wedding, and it was Beautiful and so was Tabitha. I didn't get as many pics as I planned on, but here's a few....
Hannah and Allyssa handed out programs and balloons. The reception was at the Moose in Vandalia. It was a lot of fun and so nice to see everyone!!

3rd Grader!!

 

 

Well School has begun again... and Allyssa is doing very well in the 3rd Grade... except for all the HOMEWORK!!! She really likes her teacher Mrs. Taylor, and so do I. The first week of school we did parent pick up..but after waiting in that line for 2 hrs. and Allyssa wanting to ride the bus, we found out that our subdivision is the first stop from school sooo she is now a Bus Rider after school, and she loves it!! Her Best Friend Emily who lives next door also rides, and Alex the boy that lives on the other side of us rides, and Garret who lives across the street acouple of houses down also rides!!! Us mothers have been walking up to the bus stop together and getting them from the bus, it's been really nice.
Activities are in full swing now... Gymnastics on Monday's, Soccer practice on Tues. and Thurs., AWANA at church on Wed. soooo Thank God it's FRIDAY!!!!
I am just soooo Thankful that we are settling in and Allyssa seems to be adjusting Wonderfully and her tics are very few!!!

3014 Wolf Run

We've Moved!!!! we love our home and our neighborhood... and we MISS Everyone back in Illinois!!! But things are going very well...busy... moved out of house in Illinois and out of our apartment in P Bluff and now trying to find a place for everything here :) Allyssa started school in the middle of all of this... 3rd Grade!! Homework is yucky!!!
I will post more pics and journal about our move and our neighborhood SOON... just wanted to get a few pics up for people to see... Especially Rachel...she's been asking!!! Sorry it took soooo long Rachie...
