Halloween Weekend in Illinois!!

What fun.... we had such a great family Halloween weekend back in Illinois! Bob, Allyssa, Adilynn and I left Poplar Bluff Thursday Morning early (Oct. 21) headed for the St. Louis Zoo, Allyssa's reward fieldtrip with school for excelling on her MAP Testing...and it was Ohhhh soooo COLD!!! But we made the best of it, and all in all had a fun day at the zoo! From there we drove on to Ramsey and started our stay with Mom and Dad! Trick or Treat was Friday Night in Ramsey, so Bob, Rodney and I took Allyssa, Hannah and Arlie out, Little Miss Adilynn only trick or treated Mamaw and Pawpaw...and then stayed w/ them while we went out...Too Cold for her to be out...Next Year she can join us! Trick or treat was exciting...as always..and we even let our kids T.P. Uncle Scott and Aunt Jennifer's house..we weren't too quiet or sneaky..we got caught..but it was fun anyway!!! Then we met back at Mom and Dad's and enjoyed visiting while the kiddos went through their stash of TREATS!!


Ok.. sooo..about this weaving... In Allyssa's Halloween goodies bag from Gpa and Gma was this weaving set, you know, the ones that you can make potholders and such...so Allyssa had worked for over an hour weaving her potholder and she wanted me to finish tieing it off...well it was a little difficult to do by myself sooo Carter was nice enough to help out..well we were on our LAST side, 3 sides completed..and it was quite time consuming getting this far.. the End was NEAR.. and somehow.. Oh NO!!!..The Loops Came Off and Messed Up the ENTIRE THING!!!....Soooo that's when Jenna Dawn got involved re-weaving it before Allyssa came and saw the MESS..and then Jenna ran into difficulties..soooo Uncle Scott had to get his hands in on the action too...and Gpa was even hollering out directions on how to weave...IT was definately a Family Affair...and HILARIOUS!!! OMG I just realized that after all that Hard work I Never even took a picture of the Finished product..it is finished...Allyssa did catch us reweaving and knows what happened..BUT all is well..she has a finished potholder no matter how many people it took to get it done!!!

Wow...I had No Idea!!! We went home the weekend of Halloween so Ally could trick or treat in Illinois and Mom arranged a Surprise 36th Birthday Party for me! She made my Favorite..Mom' Chili and we had cake and ice cream! Thanks Mom and The rest of my family..even though it made me CRY!! Love you all!

 

 

October 21, 2010 Adilynn's 2 months Old

Happy 2 months my Precious Baby Girl, Adilynn Marie...wow..time is flying already! (That's why I am actually posting this 2 mo. late!) You bring such Joy to me, you are such a good baby!...but believe me I know what that means...Look out, a little later in life...when you can really give it to me..You will... Just Like your Sister Allyssa!! But that's ok, I wouldn't want it any other way!
You had to get your first shots today at the dr... Oh how sad it was... but otherwise a good report!!! You weigh 9lbs. 13 oz. and are 22 in. long! You are eating very well...taking about 25 oz of formula a day, eating about every 3 hrs...and waking up around 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. for feedings through the night..not too bad! You Love for us to make the ohhhh sound and you get sooo excited and even make your mouth into the shape of ohhh...but just can't get the sound out yet!
Your Big Sister adores you and you her...it's obvious! I am soo excited to see what you have in store for us next! I Love You Baby Girl!

Meet Hermie!!

Hermie is the newest addition to the Saunders' Family.. Hermie is Allyssa's Hermit Crab!! Allyssa was sooo excited for her and her dad to go to the pet store to pick one out and get all the fixings for its habitat!!! When it comes to the pet department..princess..frogs..turtles..fish..and now Hermit crabs.. it's called Father/Daughter Bonding...Mom's OUT!!!

 

 

 

1st Gymnastics Meet

October 16, 2010 was Allyssa's first Gymnastics Meet of the Season. It was in Cape, and it made for a LONG day! Got there at 8:15 a.m. which meant up at 5:30 a.m. and on the road by 6:45 a.m... But it was well worth it..Allyssa did GREAT! She competes in Level 2 and got a 9.2 on vault = 2nd place.. a 8.5 on Bars = 4th (she made a mistake that she never makes in practice..but you know NERVES!!! ..a 8.5 on Beam = 4th...a 9.05 on floor = 1st..for a total score of 35.25 = 3rd All Around!! We were very proud of her, and Grandpa and Grandma made the 3 hr. trip just to watch her perform! Thanks G & G, it made Ally sooo Happy!
